Title: Where can i buy...
Post by: dreamers on August 14, 2006, 10:12:39 PM
Hi guys

I am looking for the following (replica or original but if replica, can people only recommend if they know its a good fit) at good prices:

99 spec rear lights
c west front bumper
99 spec front fog/indicator lights (I gather from previous post, ebay is best for this)
side skirts (any brand - tho veilside/c west preferred)
99 spec/mazdaspeed style rear spoiler

and a respray shop in london which people would recommend!

Thanks guys in advance..

Has anyone ever ordered from rx7store.net? IT\'s a u.s. site but their prices seem v. competitive compared to anything else I have seen. Could anyone recommend them?

Tks

Have you tried Ross (Dragon) for the 99 spec bits and Kit

Yes was just wondering where was cheapest. I am desperate for either a rx7 with c west kit or to do it myself.

Strangely I am finding it difficult to find the c west front nose, despite it clearly being the coolest/best looking in my opinion (I stress my opinion tho i assume many people may agree with me).

Rx7store seem to be the only people who sell the nose cone seperately. I also notice that a 99 spec mazdaspeed style rear spoilers seem quite rare also - unless you guys tell me otherwise.

I notice dragon do the full kit but no seperates :S.

Desperately waiting for another c west kitted car to pop up as to my requirements..*sigh*

Be carfull saying Cheap and Bodykit in the same breath...

Alot are very poor quality copys.

I\'ve used these guys before for a kit and it was\'nt bad but Fiberglass is funny stuff it can be diffrent from one mounding to another so your always going to be taking a risk if you don\'t see it first.

Try and steer clear of one called Raceon, A pal has has some stuff of them and it was\'nt too hot.

As for 99 spec stuff give Ross a Bell, i\'m sure he can sort you out.

Try Miguel at Newera, sometimes doesn\'t advertise 2nd hand parts, but I know he has a 99 spec rear wing. Bought a 99 bumper off him myself for my Rex

just out of interest Devil\'s Refugee, how much did you pay for the 99spec bumper-if you dont mind me asking. it\'s just that i\'ve been convinced by a friend and have gone against all the big bodykits and just wanted mine to look like the later spec rx7- which i have to say look really tasty.

I paid £290 for it. Genuine 99\' bumper. Bought it from Miguel at Newera. 2nd hand but didn\'t mind as it was in the same colour as the car I have, bonus !

Still looking for 99 spec front lights though.

Rear spoiler (COPY) : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JDM-RX7-RX-7-FD3S-99-Spec-Rear-Spoiler_W0QQitemZ150023529804QQihZ005QQcategoryZ72209QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

99 Rear light (DIY) : http://www.jsott.com/rx-7/lights/index.html

99 Front lights : http://www.procarparts.com/store-list2.asp?makerID=20&modelID=120&year=2000&cat=4&sub=125

I just got my 99 lights from there an they arrived in 2 days!!! and they are excellent quality an fit.

With regards to the 99 spec bumper I was quoted £350 for one. in the end I managed to source a damaged one cheaper without the splitter but it\'s taking a fair bit of repairing, In the end, I\'ve gone for a copy that I was lucky enough to snap up off here.

Good luck an hope this helps

Mark

yeah, i\'d expect so. i\'d also be worried about sealing them back up perfectly so they don\'t fog over or even fill up with water when you wash her lol.

Thanks for all your posts. Forgive me for not responding earlier.

Yes. Car would have been absolutely perfect but I really dont like after market headlights (unless again they are genuine c west ones). Though if people can let me know you can put the standard ones back on cheaply I might be interested.

I am actually talking with Miguel at Newera to see if he can find what I am looking for. And obviously looking at other places. Think I might have found one similar to what I am looking for.

Tempted to buy this front nose and wheel arches:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220009399559&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=012

Think this kit is very unique and looks great. Just worried about fitment. I cant wait to post pics of my car when its bought and modded!!! cant wait!!!:mmmm

Got confused here, are you looking for a car with those parts on or are you looking for the parts??

i am looking for a car with all this on it already but this is proving near impossible.  Thus thinking of buying a standard car and doing it myself.

well impossible at the price I am willing to pay (which is a fair bit actually)

for a car with all that on - up to 8.5k. If from a reputable dealer like newera etc. I may push more .

From a private seller I dont know ,.....probably less unless it has extensive receipts etc.

Thus thinking of buying a 6k car and doing it all myself.

forgot to mention - a car of that value from a dealer i\'d expect low miles or a recent rebuild (with receipts)
