hi its in the boot under neath the carpet,on the left hand side.
should be a metal plate with 4 screws in it.
under that is a white multi plug with 4 connections.
check the earth thats on top of the fuel pump plate that might be broken,
i just earthed mine of the threaded bolt sticking up out the boot just now to see if it was that.

hope this helps

I\'d try swapping the gauge next I think.

You\'ll need a mate to borrow a working gauge from or get one off here or ebay.

If the fuel pump has been changed then it could be the float that\'s misaligned on the fuel pump cradle itself. It clips into place but can come unstuck if the pump has been removed and it\'s not refitted properly. I had problems with mine when I removed it; check the electrics first but bear this in mind if it\'s never worked in the first place.

the oval panel the earth line is tagged to on top of the tank, thats the access hatch the the pumps, sender and float, best to check both sender and float. Make sure the float has good free travel and the sender adjusts the signal according to movement. This should pinpoint your problem

Mikey,

Are they the CRUISE guages? the ones with the red and blue lit rings and numbers that you can change etc?
If so, I have the same, they can be a pain and mine were not wired in well at all (I despise scotchlocks!), if you get any issues its normally the control box wiring into the light feed.

Taken it all apart to night and it turns out that the arm which goes up and down didnt have a bladder on it to make it float on further investigation i found the bladder just floating around in the fuel tank. Im going to reattach it tomo as it got dark tonight i will let you now how i get on.

Good stuff, I luv it when a plan comes together (to coin my lead inspirations catchphrase lol) did you notice any reason for it coming free? or any punctures, cracks etc when you fished it out?
