Title: Apexi Commander FC With Auto transmission (FD)
Post by: imebgo on August 13, 2006, 05:05:27 PM
Im wishing to upgrade my ECU and had budgeted for an Apexi PFC of ebay, however I have been advised that they were not really designed for automatic transmission and could cause some issues in the long run. I was also advised that the FCON V would be a better choice for my FD.

Is anyone running an FD with auto tranmission with an Apexi  PFC, whats the verdict?

Theres a couple of used F-CON V ECU\'s on ebay (£100 and £275 starting bids) they are not the pro version - would I be much better off with a PRO version or would these suffice?  FYI I will be modding my FD, intercooler, injectors, pipes etc.. but I dont think I will be going to a single turbo, I would like to stick the twins for a while because they have been remanufacutred.

Cheers, James

Hello James, I have a  touring type X with auto box. I have a straight through exhaust (Blitz rearbox, Dragon midpipe etc), also Greddy stock mount intercooler, Apexi induction kit and I have the Apexi ecu fitted with no running problems at all. All these mods plus the Ecu have been in place for at least two years and like I said no problems with any performance or running issues. HTH........cheers Leigh.
