Title: Here we go again......
Post by: jay on August 11, 2006, 04:52:45 PM
Well I have not been around a great deal this year. With the birth of my little boy to keep me occupied.
Took a year off from the show scene as i have been concentrating on my show winning VW mk2 golf. It has been great fun goin back to my roots as regards cars(plus normal prices for parts). But after gettin my rebuild done it is good to be back.
As many of you will know i have owned this car for over 4 years and spent a small fortune on it. I\'m lucky to have a good friend who can get me any part from japan at a very reasonable price(which helps). I have tried to keep it subtle and make it lok like it would not be out of place on the Wangan.
I have a fetish for anything from FEED and Carbon it is gettin out of hand but I\'m resisting the kit so as not to upset Chris;)

Ta mate :)  You could always invest in their new kit...
It\'s looking really good, you have great taste!
How much vibration do you get with the solid bushes?  I have the solid engine and diff mounts, below 3k I feel the vibrations, but it disappears after that.

Do get quite alot of Vibrations but it does handle superbly, feels very stable.

a scoot cf bonnet would look nice.... but then again it looks nice without.

just thought that with all the cf going on, it might be worth doing.

I think Mark\'s Scoot bonnet with just the vents detailed in carbon fibre looks really good.

Thats what i was thinkin of doin. Sprayin a Carbon bonnet but leavin the vents.

Just so you all know, Scoot only makes the bonnet in FRP (plastic) and not carbon fibre, all of the CF ones are copies, some have the most hideous fit. :)

I think a CF bonnet would look great on this either sprayed with the vents left cf or full carbon. The AD9 bonnet would look better than the scoot IMO though.
