what did you drive before your FD was it good bad or not worth bothering with,
i personally drove a rice corsa SRi
so i had quite a big step up in the performance market.:D
17 - Fiat Panda. Rubbish, lasted a couple of months. Change for:
88 Corolla GL 1.3 - Very good for what it was actually.
18 - Toyota Celica GT4 ST185. I like this. They look good imho (had a widebody one) and is very good all round though not that fast
19 - Pulsar GTiR RNN14. These are little rockets and id definatly have another but hate the boy racer image they now seem to have. Shame. Great acceleration, but handling isnt all that nice despite good grip.
21 - RX7 FD3S. I still have one of these, and at the moment dont want to change it. Well I would, but I cant think of anything else Id rather have for the money except maybe an S15.
Cheers
Lee
Fiat Panda 4x4
BMW 323i (b reg)
Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0i
Shoud\'ve kept the beamer - leather bucket-seats were the best ever. The 7\'s are nearly as good.

I had a 1980 Triumph TR7 V8
It was quite good.
Enjoyed it at the time (except the rampant rust) but the REX is Sooo much better.

17 - Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 LS - Slow as hell but a good little first car. Sold it after about 9 months and the new owner had it about 2 months and it got stolen
18 - PUG 106 GTI - really liked this car. Modified it with wheels etc etc but for it\'s size was nice and quick. Had it for about 18 months and sold it to a mate and he still has it aswell as his scoob.
19 - Subaru Impreza P1 W Reg. Had a lil accident in this one and kept it for about 9 months and then sold it on. racked up 20,000 miles in this time so I wanted a newer one with lower mileage.
20 - Subaru Impreza P1 X Reg. Bought it with 12500 miles on it and had upgraded exhaust and wheels. Owned this for 6 months and sold in Oct this year with 18500 miles on it.
20 - Rover 216 GTI Twin Cam - Still got this as a run about. Nice little car, leather interior not bad for it\'s age.
20/21 Rx7 FD3S - Not sure how long I\'ll have it judging by previous cars! ;)
Did have the P1, Rover and Rx7 all at the same time for a while - quickest way to loose money :D
1. 1966 Cal look beetle when I was 16. Standard as brought then spent a small fortune of pink leather seat and building an 1835 engine!
2. Before the Beetle got sold I brought a Reliant Scimitar SE5a - nice v6 purr to that one. The big ends went eventually but it still soildered on without oil pressure for some months. The MOT tester saw the back of that one!
3. Reliant scimitar SE6a with stage 2 modified engine. That was quick (not FD quick) and sounded the real biz when the revs went high.
4. Trimumph GT6 Mk2. brought as a part finished restoration. Given away as a part finished, part finished restoration. Still the rolling chassis was pretty much done and the body was sounder than when I brought it.
5. Rover 420 TDI (for work) - stuff that one througha hedge on ice!
6. Vauxhall Omega- Nice comfy car brought for doing the motorways. Now for sale if anyone wants it. £300?
7. Rover 220 turbo Coupe. Actually my wifes car but it led me here \'cause it was a real hoot to drive but got nicked and trashed.
8. RX7 - delivered tomorrow!
17 - Ford Escort (died horribly)
18- Ford Sierra (cracked head blew up)
19 - Toyota MR2 (wonderful car, but lost loads on it)
20 - MR2
21 - 98\' Alfa Romeo Spider (open top fun)

First car (at 22 - didn\'t bother while I was at uni) was 1.1 Pug 106. Cheap insurance!
Then got decent job and bought new Scooby turbo. Splendid car, wife didn\'t like gearchange much tho. Sold that 15 months later for nearly what I paid for it - in the time that Scoobys had a 6 month waiting list!
Then went very silly and bought new Evo 6 when Mitsubishi UK first started importing them. Great car. wife loved it too. Started doing trackdays with this, and thought I should really get a trackday car, so sold it 13 months later, for a massive loss (which made me vow never to buy a brand new car again), and bought...
A twin ZX9 engined Westfield & a 95 Misty Shogun to tow it with. This was a stupidly fast, scary car (the Westfield, that is :)). Over 500bhp/tonne, 0-100 in 6.8s :evillaugh. Unless I win the lottery and get a McLaren F1, I am unlikely to ever own a car that fast again.
Got bored of Shogun as everyday car, and got a 1998 Subaru Legacy GTB estate. Great Q Car - 280bhp, 4WD in a fairly boring looking estate body, and could tow stuff easily as well. Had this for a year ...
Then kids came along, trackday opportunity dried up, and sold both of these and bought the 94 RX7. Love it to bits, but going on past performance, I\'ll probably swap this somewhere between 1 and 2 years old. Even tho it fairly terrifies me in the wet, I quite fancy a Cerbera as next car :eek.
Andrew
Ford Escort 1.3 (e-reg) nice little first car which i eventually killed
Saxo VTR, not a bad car, but not a lot of umph and way too many boy racers have them
Ford Orion 1.4, my first car bought solely as a run-about
\'96 FD3S, bit of a power hike from previous cars, in fact you can add the bhp\'s up and they still dont come close:)
then a little 106 1.5 diesel to replace the orion which was on its last legs, great little car with a seemingly magical fuel tank which never seems to run out:) but unfortunately it might be a write off as i got smacked up the ass by another car a couple of weeks ago, oh well, whiplash claim should buy a nice new intercooler for FD :)
16. Honda Express(wrote it off), Yamaha Passola
17. TZR125, then YamahaFZR400RR
18. Triumph Herald, Volkswagen Beetle
19. Still had Beetle, Mrk 1 Golf GL
20. Mark One Golf GTI 1600
22. Mark One Golf GTI Campaign + various shitty new Ford company cars - they were all truely shit.
24. Still Had Mark one, Plus ZX-6R G2
25. Corrado VR6 Storm, plus ZX-6R (sold later that year)
26. Supercharged Corrado VR6
http://www.matey-matey.com/supercharged_corrado_vr6.shtml
28. Sold my supercharged VR6, bought Merc 500SEL/sold 500SEL and purchased Honda NC30, purchased my RX two weeks ago.
If you include the wifes cars - I seem to always end up paying for them. Then I have had a Saxo (load os rubbish), Mark 3 Golf GTI and I still have a Mark 2 Convertible GTI Sportline...
Must have spent loads and loads and loads, every single one of mine have been modified in some way apart from the herald & the mopeds.
Wife wants a Civic Type R now.
Westfield SEi-W (160bhp) good when it worked, unfortunately it spent as much time with my mechanic as me. ie after 4 weeks of getting stuff done, collect car early am head off to trackday, mid afternoon come back to the car to find more oil on the ground than in the car. Quick bodge repair with fanta bottle and drive back to the garage  Sold to get something that wouldn\'t fall apart and had a roof - Glasgow is too wet for your ownly car not to have a roof. Before that:
Impreza Turbo (Euro Import) most over-rated car I have ever been in, had it for sale within the first month unfortunately my spoiler went walkabout, then it got keyed and I couldn\'t afford to get rid of it. Once I accepted the fact it was 100bhp shy of enough power to test the chassis in the dry, useful for chasing bikes on back roads but little else. Really good in the wet or snow infact it was great in any sort of condition where it isn\'t generally safe to drive quickly. Sold to get something cheaper to run (house buying ain\'t cheap) and more involving to drive. Previously:
Saxo VTR bought just after the car was released (so before the Max muppet brigade got hold of them) and really rated it as a car. Just about quick enough for a daily driver, handled neatly and was stupidly economical (even sitting at 120+ for a whole tank it would return 36mpg). Sold it as I wanted something that accelerated quicker that I wouldn\'t feel the need to drive so quickly the whole time.

YOUR JUST NOT DRIVING THE REX HARD ENOUGH
jag 19 mpg
rx 17mpg:D
XJS V12 returned about 13-14MPG for my mate (he drove it really hard by all acounts)
lowest I\'ve had the RX is an average 16mpg (although half that fill up was dual carriage way so I would guess the 20 mile return trip ate most fuel ( probably close to 10! mpg? )

\'67 VW Type 1 - 1500 model with front discs
- replaced motor, clutch and half the body
(still sat in the garage after about 11 years)
\'72 VW Type 1 - 1200 base
- never had it running
(chopped most of it up and took it up the dump during summer, just got the running gear/floorpan behind the garage now...)
\'81 Talbot Samba
- gramps car I got passed after he kicked his wicket over, never gave me any trouble in 9 months before I skipped it having bought next motor. Only car I havent replaced a clutch and engine on :)
\'65 MG Midget - 1098 Mk2
- great car, surprisingly quick (after I killed its 1098cc motor and fitted a \'prepared\' 1380 running a 45 DCOE any way :))
(still sat in grans garage out in the sticks being eaten by rodents as of 2000 when I bought next motor)
\'93 Lancia Delta Integrale Evo (\'Evo 3\' i.e. katalyst job)
- Subtle Giallo Fly Yellow. Awesome car, will buy another when I have kids if any havent rusted away by then. Still dont think many cars look so brutal and menacing in your rear-view mirror. Scooby, schmooby - the \'Grale did it first and with out A LOT more style :D
(crank shaft bought the farm, along with a few other internals. P/ex\'d against next car as it was starting to rust (if you knew where to look!) and the turbo was w#nked...
\'94 Mazda RX7 Type RB
- and so it came that I got my first rotor, had always loved the FD and in spite of it being red it was agreat car. Was about to start sniffing about mods when I ended up doing a donut at about 100mph one night before parking it in a field. First car I ever owned that went thru an MOT without needing work :)
\'96 Mazda RX7 Type RB
- one of the early ones to get an FD from Miguel at Newera (which he will remember well as it was a total suck-hole to get SVA\'d!). Silver and lovely, came with FMIC and a few other bits and bobs. Totally abused it for 12 months running 1bar+ with no boost control, stock fuel system etc. Never missed a beat. Got the mod bug big-time. Was about to go GT35/40 when all the kids seemed to being going that route too. So thought about ported N/A 20B and finally settled upon ported single turbo 20B conversion. Work in progress (no, it is actually progressing now, honest!)
Adore all Rotors now and never see myself giving them up. Seen enough FD\'s now, looking for either a heavily mod\'d FC to play about with and totally ruin whilst using for daily transport and learning why things go pop, or an RX2, RX3, RX4 or R100 to cherish and love forever and ever :)
Hmm my past list is a lot more boring than most
17) 1967 MK1 Hillman Hunter (older than I was) - saw the back of more AA relay trucks than I\'d like to remember, but surprisingly sprightly - also learnt a lot about RWD on that car - used to be able to drift it very nicely :bandit
20) Renault 12 auto
20) Triumph Dolomite 1850
20) Fiat 126 - I was embarressed by it, but found the girlies loved it :D - also it handled very well once you got the speed up.
22) Dhiatsu Charade
24) Rover 213
27) MK 2 VW Scirroco gti
29) Alfa 164 3.0 Lusso
31) Mazda MX-5
33) 1.3 Ford Escort Estate (for parking in dodgy areas)
Current Cars
----------------
FD3S
MX-5 - currently ~208 BHP/199 ilbs per foot torque - might remove the big boost crank pulley which will take it down to only ~180 BHP

Fiat Panda - Dead easy to keep and run. Learned about as much as I could about fixing cars from this little guy. Had Parental consent.
Ovlov 480es - Loved it to bits. Great fun to drive and throw around. Was at it\'s best before I traded it in, gave it a wee kiss goodbye. Had Parental Consent
Ovlov S40 - Hated it. Had Parental Consent
FD - Love it to bits. Sometimes I am afraid of it, but this makes me love it all the more. I have more respect for this car than any I have ever owned or driven, and I have driven some nice machinery. Corvette, Lotus and such. Decided to surprise my Parents with this 1. They Love it.
I hope to 1 day have a black FD and Black MR2 II parked in my drive. I have a real soft spot for the MR2, but for some strange reason, insurance companies thought the FD was better;) and so do I

Lexus GS300 (Company car)
1971 Series 3 V12 E Type Jaguar
2000 RX7
Interesting thing about the E type and the RX7 is that, in theory, they make the same hp - both 265. One from a 5.3 litre V12, the other from a 1.3 Rotary.
Which one does the wife like (when she\'d not driving her Honda Jazz), the Lexus - must be grounds for divorce.................
Hmmm... Long list. Will only mention the ones I owned for over 6 months!
Bikes: 1976 Yamaha DT175 @ 14 years old.
Honda 1982 XL250S @ 16 years old.
Honda 1990 650 Dominator @ 22 Years Old.
Honda 1990 VFR 750 F Pro-Arm (Still have it in my garage!)
Honda 2002 Fireblade 954 F2 (Have it here in Japan).
1st Car: BMW 2002 - which I converted to a Tii when restoring.
2nd: Fiat X1/9 1500cc
3rd: Renault 5 Gordini.
4th: Citroen 2CV
6th: Mercedes Benz W124 300D
6th: Radbourne racing Stage 2 R5 GT Turbo.
7th: 1985 Corolla GT AE86 RWD.
8th: 1980 VW Golf GTI Mk 1 1.8.
9th: 1997 Corolla AE86 facelift
10th: 1996 Mazda Eunos Roadster 1.8i
11th: Subaru Impreza 555 STI 3 Estate
12th: 1990 Mugen Tuned CRX SiR Coupe.
13th: MR2 Rev 3 GT Turbo 280 bhp.
14th: Skyline GT-R R33 V-Spec - 380 bhp.
15th: 1995 RX-7 Type R Bathurst - (Won\'t EVER sell this one).
16th: 2002 S2000 (Still got that one for daily use).
The Skyline was very quick indeed, but will never be as entertaining or rewarding to drive quickly, as a well sorted RX-7.
£ for £ (Or in my case, Yen!), there\'s nothing else more fun for the money. I\'d have a Type R NSX if I could afford it, or if I got silly, a Porsche GT-2 or an original 2.7 RSR, but I doubt that day will ever come....Besides, I enjoy the rex plenty.
I don\'t give a flying **** about economy figures on my RX-7. It is reliable though!
:wave
I forgot the Opel Ascona 2.0s too.....Yeah, a bit of a sideways car - that one. Primitive, although fairly quick(ish) too.
Another I forgot was the 1996 Transit 2.5 Di Camper Van which we painted at a party, after repair from being written off by an Uno which passed a traffic light on red and knocked a hole in the side of it... Became a real hippy "look" van as a result of that party....The Europeans liked it, although the Germans weren\'t very amused.
I sold it 3 years later to a very nice 50 year old couple who still own it, in Brighton.

My first car was a 1ltr Fiat uno-was fantastci to build my no claims bonus, plus it was solar powered iam sure i never put any petrol in the thing.
I had a Fiesta Zetec 1.2 which was a great little car.
Then i got my 3rd gen RX7... which nearly has double to Bhp of
my other cars put together
Ford Fiesta - just about the only car I could afford to insure at the time and I soon learnt that if you turned into a corner at more than about 20mph in the wet, you went straight on :eek
Peugeot 205 XS - not a bad little car to whizz around in and handled surprisingly well
Honda CRX Vtec - always liked the look of them, mad engine which just screams at you to rev the nuts off it but low down torque was non existent which meant it was hard work to drive fast :(
Subaru Impreza - now we are talking ! Great car, owned it for four years and only sold it because I wanted to try some other cars (so many cars, such little time). Hadn\'t quite appreciated how good it was in the wet until I bought....
Ford Focus RS - Awesome handling, great brakes, pretty fast but as soon as it rained then the wheelspin just pissed me off. I got pretty fed up with that and realised that I could sell it for good money so I did although I didn\'t know what else to buy so I bought a sh*tbox to run around in whilst I thought about it
Ford Fiesta - naff little shopping trolle.
Mazda RX-7 - haven\'t got it yet but have placed a deposit with Miguel. Thought it was about time I bought a RWD car and when I went for a test drive I knew I had to have one :D
1st. 1960 850cc Mini, great car!
2nd. Fiat X19, engine with rust and some glass around it!
3rd. mg midget, death trap
4th. Lancia delta 1300, great car considering it cost me £80.
5th. Lancia delta hf turbo, awesome machine until the engine gave up!
6th. Golf GTI Greg, absoulutly minted condition, a complete dissapiontment to drive after the lancia
7th. Saab 900, another nice car until i put it in a farmers field.
8th and 9th. company land rover discovery\'s, killed the engine in one of them.
10th. My rx7 3rd gen, im hoping there won\'t be an 11th for a long time!

fiesta xr2 till a nasty curb wrote it off!!!!!!
series 2 escort rs turbo with every engine mod possible ( affordable mods anyway 218bhp (dyno sheet proof)

Hi Brian, so this is the project at RX motors then???
Tim has been going about it.
Kind regards
Carl
Previous cars :
Triumph Dolomite 1500
Skoda Estelle ( I was a poor student, didnt stop me lowering it swapping the engine adding a roll cage and racing it though)
Honda civic
GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup Truck. 4.8 Litre 255bhp (18mpg (US gallons) still it was only $30 to fill up) Great vehicle when there\'s 1.5 feet of snow outside your door
Current car :
FD3S Uk spec, I\'m torn between keeping it stock and modifying it...

Wrong:D
that\'s his secret project should be very interesting indeed.
I don\'t really have one as yet. I\'m stuck between keeping the white bridge or getting a secret weapon built in secret if a place farway. I\'m awaiting a price for this secret weapon and will take it from there.

Previous cars:
1988 Pug 205 Junior. 954cc of raw fury! Destroyed by a moron in a 323, who wouldn\'t accept responsibility... court case coming up.
1994 Renault 19 1.4. Comfortable, and after the pug it felt fast :D Got bored and sold it to my dad
1988 Pug 205 GTi 1.9. More shoddily built French madness, but soooo much fun (at least it was before it started falling apart.) Soon to be sold for parts, or scrap.
Not a big list, really...

No its not the Nemisis one, although that is a beauty!!
I got mine from Ross at //www.dragonperformance.co.uk and although i have good figures Ross is currently building something special for rotorstock - which is why i wont be racing mine!!!
Good guy Ross excellant job on my rx;)
I Must say that your car is the best RX7 I have ever seen.
Well done Ross.
Kind regards
Carl
Carl,
Thanks for the positive feedback mate, yes all credit due to Ross at Dragon, couldn\'t fault the car!!!
It will be there on the Dragon Stand at rotorstock, and Ross\'s secret demo car will be something special, i\'ll bet;)
Thanks for the kind words carl.

NATH,
Dont think that qualifies to appear on here dude:rolleyes:
well at 17 you cant afford performance so you have to have your girly cars:p :(
Nath,
TRUE, first car i had was a Suzuki Vitara fatboy, nothing fast about that :(
I think top speed was 90mph, downhill!!!
But dont worry mate the years will fly by, just keep a clean licence as the police dont like the fast / modified car scene:eek:
well i had 120 out me baby corsa and that was pushing it on the way down to exeter :rollin
Funny that nath i bought my rx from exeter:confused:
