Hello all
well today decided to look around the back of the manifold to see if i could feel any leaks etc
so I put my hand down by where the lambda sensor conector is and there is all a earth to the inlet
and all of a sudden cars rev drop to normal for all of 2 sec\'s and then shot back up to 2000 rpm and now just bounces from 1600-2000 rpm
Ive tried moving anything back there wires etc and it just keeps bouncing up and down
tried resetting ECU and still same
guys what have i done??
upper inlet coming off this weekend to blank a few things so advise would be great jsut about now :2Confused
my guess is u have knocked throttle position sensor or the or the idle control valve..idle valve has white connector and is barrel shaped and tps is black and flat and measures in voltage the position of the throttle
Ok bit more info
Just spoke to Clive from Shyauto and again big help
looks like i might have a lambda prob
as i unpluged it to start up and whilst its running and its making no difference at all
anyone else suffered from Lambda probs?
plus idle valve and tps fine :)
i had similar problem once, turned out to be the Air pump was dead. As i did not need this, just disconnected it anf job done.
Stu
nope not that mines disconnected :)
think def lambda as ive had high idle probs se other threads
and when u disconnect the lambda whilst its running car doesnt change meaning it must be on safety mode for some reason along with the idle valve
has anyone replaced standard lambda and if so which what item? OEM or universal?
