Title: Running twin a/m BOVs
Post by: Devil\'s Refugee on August 08, 2006, 10:44:37 AM
Anyone running with twin aftermarket BOVs ?
Can you mix one a/m and retain one stock BOV ?

Is the Rex sensitive to one\'s which dump to atmosphere like the Scooby at all ?

And finally, has anyone got the Forge twin DV kit installed ? Seems rather cheap compared to a single HKS item.

The RX7 only needs one dump valve. I\'ve got a HKS jobbie which vents to atmosphere, no problems as far as I can tell. What\'s a/m by the way?

Ah, I gotcha. Yeah, it\'s probably best to keep the stock charge control valve re-circulating into the airbox (the one that\'s plumbed into the y-pipe just ahead of the secondary turbo) as it vents continuously up until just before the transition point. The actual dump valve can be replaced for an aftermarket item with no problems.
