Will just the Japanese De-reg document do ?.... as I haven\'t got an english version of it.....
No, I *think* you need the English translation in order to register it; they are stamped/authenticated by the exporting agent in Japan...
Did you import it yourself? Shouldnt be too hard to get a copy of the translated de-reg from your agent *hopefully*
Just spoke to someone at the DVLA they said the Japanese document should be fine.....
Well I guess I will take it to my local DVLA office and see what they say
the jap log book is fine i did one about 3 weeks ago

Thanks for the reply...I have done it already....
Droped the forms off on Friday.... got a call on Monday to say they were ready and I could come and pick up the tax disc and my paperwork...... pretty efficient I thought :)
