Title: Royal Puple OIL???
Post by: fd3s_rx7 on November 10, 2003, 03:15:00 PM
When I bought the car, I did an oil change and use Royal Puple, Full syntetic 20w50 oil.

Am I going to be alright with this brand of oil.  Because I also heard that mineral oil are suit for the rotary engines only???

If so what kind of oil or brand carry mineral oil.???

But really, I want to stick to Royal Purple 20w50.

Any anwswer will help???  thanks

Castrol GTX is a good choice

I don\'t think synthetic oil burns as well as mineral oil and thats why its not reccomended although i have heard of people using semi synthetic oil

Fully synthetic is not reccomended I don\'t think

I know of a few people using Royal Purple sythetic (of some description) in FDs but im not sure of viscosity etc.  It sounds like you are ok but hopefully on of the users of Royal Purple will post.

Royal Purple seem to have a very good reputation on oil, im thinking of using it myself as im not sure that mineral oil could withstand the heat levels generated.  Would be good if someone techie can post :)
