Title: FD Remote locking
Post by: CraigN on August 06, 2006, 12:21:21 PM
My fd has ana alarm but it seems to not be wired up to the central locking system.

It does have one as if i open i from drivers door it opens both.

Is there any reason for it not being wired up and is it the standard 2 wires from door to door that i need to splice the alarm into?

You need a solenoid for the drivers door if you just wire into the two wires it will only open the passanger door.

when i had my alarm/immob fitted i had them sort my central locking too... they told me they had to order in a different central locking solenoid kit as our locks use cables rather than rods, apparantly? might be worth baring in mind...
