Title: Question about vented bonnets
Post by: strange_days_uk on August 02, 2006, 04:29:57 PM
What is the likelyhood of water getting into the engine bay if it is raining.

Are some bonnets worse at this than others ?

How does it all work ?

Cheers, Simon..

I had a vented bonnet on my old car..it was usaully ok but iv it rained really heavily water did get in and it flooded the air filter a few times lol :2Rolleyes
In the end i just stuck some duck tape on the inside of the bonnet and that did the trick:Giggle

Like anything seald...... put hols in it & water will get in!!!! Alot of the vented bonnets do have water trays under the vents but alot of people teke them off to improve the air flow!!!
