Well here I am my first post. I\'ve always been a big fan of the gen3 RX7 but have been put off by the reliability stories.
Well my current car has only done 2K in the last 2 years because I only use it for weekend blasts and shows (that and the time I spent building it) so I have decided stuff it at that mileage it\'s unlikely it will cause me problems (will it?)
I take great pride in the fact that I have done all the work on my car and made it what it is now so I want to do the same with a rex and hope to find a twin turbo that needs a engine rebuild (or similar)
This is my current drive (hope the link is allowed on here)

and this is what I was looking at but it was to far to try and get it back so I\'ll keep looking

PS for those that went, the club that I am a moderator on was on the same pitch as you guy\'s @ JAE the other week. Wasn\'t that little storm fun LOL
Wow that red one went for the price of a few sets of tyres! Hope you find what you are looking for mate. Welcome to the club.
Welcome aboard. I used to have an fto before the rx7 and they are fun cars too. Not to the power of the rx7 though ! I\'d be very careful with the ebay stuff, the engine is a major factor and if your looking at rebuilding like the nissan then great but also make sure everything else is in good condition. That red one looked a very good starting car, just a rebuild would make it a good car.
Be careful and enjoy. This club is very open and friendly and has loads of info about finding and buying a good car.
Good luck :)
Shaun
Welcome and good hunting for that bargain rex.
That\'s one tidy looking 200sx by the way!
Prof. :cheers
Thanks peeps
I\'ll be sad to see the SX go but I\'ve had her for 2 years now so it\'s time for a change. She\'s pushing 300 BHP so shouldn\'t be to different to the rex. The FTO is actually the missus car, that\'s for sale as well. We intend on having 1 show car between us (the rex hopefully) and one runaround for financial reasons. We spend £40-£60 per week in fuel using the FTO :2eek
Hey welcome :WaveBye
This ones got some history,http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...DME:L:RTQ:UK:1
I nearly bought it about a year ago for £3500 from a Guy near York, it then was sold to a trader i belive and the price went upto £4200 and now its resurfaced with a Blown motor. I saw the car and it was\'nt bad at all but lack of Rebuild and it was going a bit Pink made me buy a Black one :)
Be aware though that red cars engine would be a 4k rebuild at a Tuners, its done alot of miles for for a None rebuilt Rx7 and went i saw it the speedo was\'t working so its Defo wants a Plate, two housings and a gasket kit thats Some thing like £1600 of parts already
Hi Russ and welcome to MRC :WaveBye
Yep the storm was real fun, and we had our gazebos left intact unlike many :2eek
welcome to the site :d
good car when the engine is all done... good way to learn :D
