Anyone got the complete (front/rear) polybush kit on their car? What are people\'s opinions of them?

I fitted mine this weekend

i removed the Jimlab (rx7club.com) bushes

the white jimlab ones in there were solid hard plastic, to remove them i had to use a hacksaw to cut into them and then hammer them out.

The powerflex ones are 2 piece bushes and push in easy the ride feels just as stuff and i now have no nocking noise coming from my suspension.

I had them fitted to my cossie and im very impressed with these

The ride feels slightly firmer and tighter than before, most noticeable at low speeds on imperfect roads. I had 4 wheel laser alignment and tracking done at the same time so difficult to comment on how much effect the bushes on their own had on the handling but the overall result is a much more planted car.

For those that have fitted them - how good / bad was the fitting guide?  Im thinking of buying a complete set so I have no excuses!

you do not need a fitting guide lol

old bushes out new ones in

they are 2 piece bushes so you cant get it wrong just dont mix them up keep them in the marked boxes so you know what fits were.

The first bushes that needed changing on mine were the lower rear wishbone bushes.  They used to clang when I first bought the car and Powerflex do not make replacements for these. I had 6 (i think)changed, original Mazda metal spherical bearings and mucho $$$

To decide where to start I guess you\'ll have to jack the car up and see where the play is (if any) when you try to rock the wheels.

hmm. i\'m getting hollow knocking noises from my rear suspension, esp the left. do you think this could be the bushes?  i have gab shocks and springs but the cars only done 30k so i\'d be suprised if they had worn out.  what is the best way to check-simply rock the wheel!?

I was at RX-Heaven, they lifted it and pointed out straight away what was wrong. All the pros or any decent mechanic would be able to tell. Surprised you need work done at 30k though, maybe age deteriotes things as well as mileage.

Also while i think about it, is it an idea to soak the bushes on the car now in anything prior? If so what...
