Title: OIL Problem!!!!
Post by: fd3s_rx7 on November 07, 2003, 09:51:38 PM
Hello everyone!!

Just have a quick question on my 1993 RX7 twin turbo????

I\'ve notice that after 1,000 miles on an oil change,

when you open the oil cap, I see some white liquid around the cap and where you pour in the oil!!!

The white stuff are like kind of thick and looks like some kind of thick foam!!!  Plus it looks like some kind of water cause it drips like water???

Any answer will help??  Thanks

This is an issue that seems to have come up a lot lately on the various 7 groups and it seems to be largely due to the time of year.

In short it seems that you will get some water in oil build-up at this time of year and it\'s not necessarily the sign of a problem.  But it could be so make sure you monitor fluid levels and how the car runs.

A major sign of an impending problem is starting on 1 rotor (as mine does most of the time now) or generally poor starting.  Also smoking after it\'s warmed up.

If in doubt always get it checked by an expert even if it\'s just for peace of mind.
