Title: FD Fuel pipe confusion
Post by: ianelvar on July 28, 2006, 10:56:02 PM
Hi

I\'ve just finished putting a motor into my FD, but I\'ve come to a bit of a sticking point with the fuel lines. Could anyone tell me which one goes where on the motor please? Really don\'t want to get it wrong!
My membership starts in sept, so I can\'t post pics yet, but here\'s a link to photos I\'ve taken and labelled the fuel pipes on:

Is there an easy way of telling? I looked in the workshop manual and scoured google, but couldn\'t find any detailed enough diagrams to work it out. Typical, being one of the few things I didn\'t label when I dismantled it, but such is life...
It\'s one of the last things I still have to do before doing final checks and turning the key. Wish me Luck!

Thanks very much

Ian

I think the 3rd is a breather to the fuel tank that connects to the catchtank beneath the elbow/thottle body connection.

Yep. It\'s where the feed from the charcoal canister vents to. Just pushes them through the motor rather than letting them vent to the atmosphere. One of those cunning emission things.
