Looks like I need to replace / rebuild my diff...
Any idea of options & costs approx :
1. 2nd hand FD diff....does an FC diff fit ?...OR
2. what would be considered an uprated pickup/truck diff that fits...OR

2nd hand FD diff cheapest option.
FC wont be a straight fit.
Never heard of another diff from other marque that is a direct fit, if going to mess around fabricating to make truck diffs fit would be cheaper to buy an uprated one.
2nd hand fd diff youre looking at spending around 70-100 squid off someone breaking one on here (well thats mine went for!) - youre not guaranteed its ok and will prolly have little to no comeback...deendson how reasonable your seller is..
FD diffs can be modified slightly to be fited in FCs so i se no reason why vice versa cannot be done.
As for other diffs which fit...its a hell of a lot of hassle...youll hae to swap aover a fair few rear end parts!
It all depends on what you want the car for...why dont you say what level of power youll be running and hard launches etc?

I know of people who have fitted FD bits into an FC case so it must work the other way around, look to pay £200/£250 for an FD diff on here but FC diffs will be cheaper.
Beware though FC EGI Diffs are not LSD\'s and I am sure you will find that the FC diffs are not Torson diffs.
Failing that your only other option is to cut out the back of the car and fit a live axle , i.e. Ford, Chevy, Volvo or the like to get a stronger axle
Mazda B series truck CW and pinions can be made to fit but this is only to get different ratios so your stuck with the Mazda IRS type diff I\'m afraid, unless you really want to get serious about modding your car.
haven\'t taken it apart yet, i dread what this is going to cost me...

Oh the joys of owning a cheap supercar
Fingers crossed
There is no advantage to running an FC diff on an FD, unless it is a JDM or US FC. So from a cost and hassle point of view I would recomend the KAAZ diff Gary has suggested. If you have or have plans of 500bhp then I would waste time or money on a standard diff....but be warned..... CLUNKY
Tomei and Cusco also do uprated 1.5way diffs for the fd.
