Title: rear speakers conversion
Post by: D1 WTF on July 27, 2006, 08:56:18 AM
i have the pockets in the rear, and i have bought some speakers and frames.  do i need to change the back plastic trim (sort of door cardthing) to make them fit neatly etc
also how do i go about getting speaker covers for these or does that come with the rear trim (if i need to replace it that is)
i havent really had a look, but are they easy to fit.  it appears like there is a big plastic pannel behind, so i didnt see what exactly they screw onto.
cheers sam

best thing to do is buy some 6x8 kenwoods these are not very deep at all so require no modification and also have exactly the same screw holes :DD
do a google on 6x8s..

basically unscrew the old crud ones and prise them out as they glued in as well..
screw the new ones in and bobs your uncle :)

sorry mate that dont help at all.
i dont have speakers in the back at all.  i currently have little pockets.
i therefore bought a set of 6x8s and a set of speaker frames.  once the pockets are taken out there is no grill for the speakers (to have this grill do i have to replace the hole rear door cards or can i just buy the grills) as it is just a hole.  and i cant easily see where the brackets mount to.
