I was Just wondering whats the average age of everyone who owns a 3rd Gen ,

I was 19 when i first got mine.

I would say a bit older than 19, I\'m 25 now and looking to get my first FD in a couple of months. I couldn\'t afford anything more than a clapped out XR2 at 19!!

I was 21 when I got mine, 22 now.  I think this would maybe have worked better as a poll with some age ranges.  If people respond its going to be a mass of numbers!

35 when I got mine.

Oh that was under a month ago :D

I used to feel only 18 - but she got a prevention order against me catching the same train as her :eek:
(only kidding before I get in to too much trouble)

26, and feeling old on this thread.

If I had one when I was 19 I probably wouldn\'t be alive now (not that I could afford the car, never mind the running costs back then)

Yeah not that I can say much, but where have all these young people come from!

Just woken up and worked out that if you add all the other ages
 
together I\'m getting close :(

Mind you I need a calculator now - anyway I don\'t care, I just

think of my insurance premium and smile. :D

Took ownership less than a month after my 25th birthday which was July thing year :)

I couldn\'t even contemplate owning this sort of car being any younger than 25, the insurance would be impossible, or so I thought.

well im supprised at the ages thought every one would have been older (no offence meant there) im 20 and my insurance is high but not as high as you\'d think.

I\'m got my FD one month ago!!

I\'m still 18 years... Bought it my self and trying to fix it up myself!!!

Got mine 2 weeks ago, im 24 atm and will be for another 8 months. :(

Im very suprized how young some ppl are able to afford these cars.

Mines going in for a full on C service at rotechniks on tuesday. i\'ve no idea what this cars been driven like but i\'ll find out then with a compression check.

Yeah,

I know, but my parents are paying for insurance.

All I\'m worried about is pumping gas and get the car well Maintenance.

It\'s $320.00 full coverage a month.

The car is in excellent conditions!!!

Thinking about putting a blow off valve. What brand do you recommend??

i probally know as much as you do , but i have a Blitz blow off valve and that gives a nice sound which you can manuall alter to change the effect of to suit you.

Yeah,

I also notice theres two blow off valve.

I know one is for the top end and the other is for the low end speed.

So do I have to buy two blow off valve to replace my both stock blow off valve.??? Or do I just buy one for the low end speed, cause I notice the top end speed blow off valve doesn\'t really make a loud swoosh sound when the hose was taken off to test it..

The further back one prespools the 2nd turbo so you dont want to be getting rid of that.

You only need the one BOV, to replace the recirc nearer the front.

In OZ FD were very Expensive.
I always wanted an FD but could never afford one. 70,000AUD!!
So when the FD came out I bought an FC as a youngin. Used to take it on the dirt. (in canberra they are maintained quite well.)

Toyota Celica GT - 16
Datsun 1600 (Rally spec)- 18
FC NA - 20
WRX - 22
MR2 Turbo - 24
FC Turbo (drift spec) - 26 after I realised all previous errors.
MX5 - 28 (Why? needs a rotor)
Honda Civic at 30!!!!!! women! dont listen to them.

FD - 32

I couldnt quite believe it when she said she wants to get insured on it...... she wasnt joking either.... which made me even more shocked.


I think her 1.5 civic lsi is enough for her at the moment!

may i ask what company are insuring you? those that mean its costing you about £3800 for insurance? hmm... interesting
