Ive got a set of standard alloys with the intention of using them for track days, drag days etc. But what is the wideset tyre you can fit on them? I\'m concerned that my rear wheels are shod with 255\'s, if I put the standard wheels on and ive only got the 225\'s on..... Well I dont want to reduce the grip I\'m used to on the track.
Any thoughts?
Anyone?!............
im sure john york had stock rims with 255\'s on. they looked about as big as you could go though
I think thats the size most people fit to them with the maccy t\'s street radials. It more dependent on the offset and the terminal speeds you\'re looking for ! Oh and watch your diff on launch, lots of grip can equal dead diff !

I\'m just looking to put some road tyres on, for track days and drag racing etc. But I want to try to retain the grip levels I get with my current 255\'s on the rear. Maybe some road legal slicks would be a good bet?
I\'ve just stuck some kuhmo ku15\'s on the front and they are soft. I think im going to stick a set on the rear too and see how much better they are than my current potenza\'s !
Ask checkpoint for a price and if you want really sticky stuff ask about the v70a\'s they are cut slicks !
There is a standard limit on what width tyres can go on the stock alloys so may not be able to 255\'s on it !

maybe the V710 would be a cool tyre in 225\'s
