Title: Coolant Buzzer
Post by: dturpin on July 21, 2006, 08:06:26 PM
I have just rebuilt my engine and am trying to fill the anti freeze back up but the coolant buzzer keeps going off.  There is coolant in the system as the filler neck is full. Could it be a possible sensor fault or would it just be that I still need to put more coolant in?
Its so annoying was hopng to have it ready for JAE, doesnt look good now though.

is the sensor connected?,  clear plug next to the filler neck.  There is also another plug and often gets confused for the knock sensor or air con. its a single black plug neer the crank angle sensors.

If you can see water in the filler neck, it\'s probably the sensor. The sensor is on the front of the filler neck casting with a single wire coming out. Is the wire plugged in?

edit: I type toooo slooow :)

There is deffinalty coolant in there, doe anyone know where I can get a sensor from, or if there is anything else I can do to at least stop the buzzer so I can drive it without going insane.

touch the wire to earth,  but you need to make sure the second black connector is connected.

it comes out of the main loom,   you may have the knock sensor, the power steering or the aircon IIRC connected to it.  You may have to have a root around the loom for it,
