hi , somthing else beside my intellistart thing
my coolant level has droped recently , is there any special coolant that i should use and what should i look for as the reason that my coolant level has droped
Hi,
check your waterpump. Go under the car, and look if they are any coolant traces. If so, try to locate where it is from.
Check your hoses. When the hoses get old, them get leaky. often happens on the hot water side (upper hose).
Generally loosing coolant is not a good sign. how do you car starts? (i know with a key, but das is starts fine or only on one chamber?) When did you changed your sparks in past?
I\'m from Germany, so can not advice you in any coolant products.
Best wishes
Iwan
the car does seem to start ok when i use the key and not my intellistart , and runs fine , i did a stupid thing today and i hope my car is still ok , i changed the coolant and did all the bits and peices but i forgot to run the car after filling th coolant , i went for a short drive just to make sure everything was ok and there must have been an airlock in the water system it overheated realy badly , i cooled it down and toped up the water , it seems ok but the cooling fan seem a bit more noisey , not the engine it sounds fine till the fan cuts in , but anyway i have to see what happens
I do belive it\'s normal for a little to go through evapouration etc so I think you\'ve done the right thing, top it up with water and keep checking it..
If it keeps leaking / dropping do what Iwan said :)
Overheating, is a bad thing on rotary.
keep looking at it for next weeks, start up\'s are important. if the car gonna start heavy bad, go to a rotary specialist and make a compression test.
The car shold give you a nerved beep... while going on low coolant. Check why there was no beep warning you to fill up the coolant.
Dont be too worry, just keep looking at it. if the test drive wasn\'t to long, nothing should happen.
can anyone tell me then where i can find a rotary specialist in the leeds or west yorkshire area

The worst has happend got up this morning took the car down the shops , when i got back to it after about 5 mins it wouldent start throwing white smoke out the rear end like i was a atomic bomb , opend the bonet check the oil , the dip stick looked ok but check the filler cap and low and behold coolant , just what i needed !!!!!!!:reallymad
don\'t dispare could be a coolent leak rather than seal etc, but get it to a garage quick dude!
Hi m8,
don\'t be to worry....
after 5 mins run, your cat still has big amount of water in it. So starting again, will put the water from cat very rapid. By the weather we have now, you see the stream more intense than in summer.
My question about your sparks was couse not everyone change sparks at regular basis. So maybe you have bad sparks, and that\'s the reason why you car didn\'t start at first time.

If your car did not start after your short drive to the shops you could have flooded it! It is never a good idear to use the car for such short journeys - unless you leave it running:(
I would get yourself down to Pips asap - get a general health check including a compression test.
Hope this helps:wave
