Hi all, driving home today i noticed the heat lamp on the dash light up, stopped and checked my commander and the air temp reading was going all over the place . One minute it was not working , then showing minus 37 degrees then positive 50 !! Can someone please tell me will this affect my running, and where to get one from and is it easy to fit ? Its not under the manifold is it ???? Thanks guys.
Yes mate the air temp sensor is under the bend of the intake manifold.
while its giving erratic readings i should keep it of boost as there will be fueling corrections for air temp on the map.

Thanks for that :) looks like i can do some more of the silicon hoses now ive gotta take the manifold off !! Any ideas where i can get one ?
Heat lamp on the dash is telling you have a problem with your cat [if you still have one] This has nothing to do with inlet temps, sounds like you might have 2 issues.
Incorrect john
Power FC uses the Heat lamp as a warning light for any problem it detects
like a dodgy air temp sensor

Assuming he has a PFC, heat lamp on stock ecu denotes problems with the cat, I am well aware of the lamp and what it does when the Apexi is fitted.
Ooops just re-read the 1st post tell tail sign \'when I read my commander\' please ignore my 1st statement:Hammer
