Ok,
I started the FD yesterday to head home from work, when i started it there was a strange tweet/squeak, thought is was probably stater motor or something...
Anyway, I start driving home and every time i back off the throttle and the revs drop back down past 2krpm it makes the same noise (I noticed it at first when changing gear). I\'m going to have a better look at it tonight if i get chance but I reckon it could be a leaky pipe or something to do with one of the BOVs...
Another thing I noticed is that the car idles a bit iffy (like missing) and it gets worse when i sit with my foot on the brake... So I\'m guessing thats something to do with the servo? It pops faintly through the exhaust too at idle, so I\'m guessing the problems are related (something to do with the ehaust/turbo side). It seems to be backfiring a lot more this week too...
Anyone got any thoughts? Dont really know what I\'m looking for so am probably best just taking it to WGT or something but i want to have a look over it and see if its anything simple (which i hope it is...)
As well as that earlier in the week the turbo\'s seemed to be a bit \'off\', not spooling straight up after a gear change, great boost - change gear - flat as a fart, no turbo/suction noise - then swoosh it spooled up fine...
Got me a bit worried...
By the way the car is running 99spec turbos, racing beat cat back, apexi fc, hks rs induction, big SMIC (with a big wastegate and a greddy pressure relief valve of some sort) and hard pipes... See the picture in my signature for the engine bay...
I\'m going to investigate further tonight/tomorrow/sunday if i get chance but any pointer (what to look for would be great)
