Title: Apexi Power FC ECU Fitment
Post by: japjim on July 14, 2006, 01:49:46 PM
Just in the process of swapping stock for apexi ecu and would like to know how other people have secured the apexi, have you used the original brackets from the stock ecu or has it been secured another way.

Mine was just sat loose behind the trim panel, never had any problems with it like that. :)

pritt stick?

sorry im just being stupid now. should be pretty easy to make a bit of metal to bridge the ecu and bolt into the body, or use the original ECU cradle, i dont see why it shouldnt fit. :)

I used a few strips of double sided velcro to fix the PFC to bottom bracket and then put the plastic trim back.  Held it nicely in place with no movement!

I removed the brackets from the stock ECU and refitted them to the car loose.  Stuck the supplied velcro (comes with the PFC) on both the new ecu and the brackets, put ECU in and then tightened it all up.

Hope that makes sense! lol

Doesn\'t need to be held too tightly tbh.

I removed the original brackt completely, stuck the PFC via the bottom edge with sticky backed velcro. Has been fine like that with the trim back in place.

Cheers,
Alex
