Title: Rear suspension knocking
Post by: Ian@TunerUK on July 12, 2006, 02:41:37 PM
i\'ve got a knocking on the rear of the car (passenger side) and i think it could be one of the bushes, now i realised they are double wishboned but how many bushes are there? pretty new to rex\'s so no previous experience working on a set up like this

I believe that you have 6 bushes on the left rear and 6 on the right rear (12 total)

These are not cheap so find out which one/ones have gone and get them done :)   IIRC Mazda retail on these bushes average out at aprox £50 each

hi, theres a company on ebay advertising a set of 10 powerflex bushes for the rear of the 7 for £121 inc p&p. dont know if there any good but seem very reasonable for the money.

i have this too- a hollow knocking/rattling mostly on the passenger side when the suspension is working.  car has only done 35k though.  i guess the only way to find out what it is is to get it on the ramps at a garage.
