I am fitting a boost gauge and am having trouble finding an "easy" route to get the pipe through into the cabin. Any tips or tricks?
Current plan is to go out into the wing then back in by the door elec harness route in front of the door hinge.
I am struggling to get it through any current harness routes.
Thoughts?
Thanks all,
Pete
Hi
I used the passenger wing route, behind the arch liner and into the cabin, easy but I am sure you may also find a route from the drivers side as well.
Cheers
I have made a little cut on the rubber going around the throttle cable and pushed the pipe in there.

thanks guys, I will have another go...
cheers
I was lazy and drilled a small hole down in the footwell :) I\'ll sort it out properly when the engine is out.
If you\'r feeling a bit daring, you could try here with a dremel, it comes in to the car just above the clutch pedal bracket
Found the pic,iv\'e got boost tube, temp sender capilliary, and a couple of wires through the grommet now, this position gives you plenty on the tube etc ,as it\'s so close to the gauges, but it\'s a bit critical position, certainly no lower than this or you would hit the clutch bracket in the cabin,
good luck, Bob
im fitting a gauge as well. can anyone tell which hose / where the best place is to "T" the boost gauge?
Looking from drivers side at the upper inlet manifold, there are 3 vacuum tubes, the first on the left,(nearest bulkhead) goes to the brake servo,(thick black tube) the middle one is probably blanked off, this is where the boost tube goes on to,(in place of the cap thats on there now.) the one on the right goes to the standard BOV
hope this helps
Bob
For the firewall I went through the grommet that the bonnet pull goes through.
Hello all,
In the end I drilled a small hole about 1" to the left of the throttle cable hole, which I think is v similar to bob went (see above). I had no problem but sealing access is tricky, in the end I have used silicon as I struggled to get a grommit to fit.
Thanks all,
Pete
Push a coat hanger through the engine side through the firewall and through the steering boot comes through nice and easy.
The vacuum tube goes onto the upper manifold theres a capped off nipple on the left side looking at it from the front.
Put some hose over that and tie it up with a cable tie, should be fine.
