Hi Steve

Your choice of pad completely depends on what your going to use the car for, i.e. just Road or /Track days and your driving style.

As for what a basic service would include it would be the following,

Engine oil and filter ( every 3,000miles)

Check and top up gear/box and diff, power steering, battery and brake fluid as required.

Check plugs for erosion ( if the corners are not square on the end of the plugs change them) if not at 10,000

Check Brake pads and discs all round,

Check air filter for cleanliness

Then a general look around for suspension wear leaks, condition of exhaust system etc

Look for wear on belts, and check wheel bearings. Its a good idea to check just about everything as these cars are 14 years old now and most have been badly serviced. There seems to be 100\'s of cars out there that only ever get the oil and plugs looked at.
