Title: Fitting a MOMO boss
Post by: gmogle on July 07, 2006, 02:37:35 PM
Hi guys,

I have searched on the forum and cant find a definitive answer.

How do you fit a Momo boss on an FD ?

There is a plastic turret stopping me from fitting the momo adapter. Do you cut this off or remove the whole thing it sits with ?

What do you do with the wires ?

Any help would be good on this, when theres an answer maybe one of you mods can put this as a sticky as I cant be the only one who needs it.

Cheers,
Gareth

Did this to mine

Cut off as much of the "turret" as you can with a hacksaw, so that you leave the 3 metal prongs poking out.  Then, when you put the boss on, you can bend the prongs so that they are pressing against the contact strip around the base of the boss.

Horn will work fine.

Job done !!

Cheers for the advice mate, bent all the pins onto the sensor plate.

Needless to say when connecting the battery back it did nnneeeeeeeeppppp
all the time.

So bent back the left and middle and works a treat now.

Cheers
