I\'ve been looking at where I could put the extra water temp sensor for my afer market gauge......... I noticed on my termostat / coolant filler housing there were 2 large allan key bolts that apear to go in to the water channel??
Would it be possible to remove one of these and put the new sensor in there to save cuttling the top hose or drilling the casting????
Thanks in advance,
Jono
I use one of these locations and dont have a problem, my gauge reads the same as my pfc so seems to work fine.
Yes most people use those allen key holes, or they make their own in the filler neck.

Hi
If you don’t mind me asking what gauge did you get and how difficult was it to set up ? I have been after an aftermarket water gouge for a while and I can not make mine mind up which one. I did not want to spend too much as I will be getting Apexi PFC soon. However, I unfortunately don’t like the look of the hand controller and will not have it permanently set up on my dash board.
Now, water temperature gauge will add to the look and also immediately let me know if the temp is going up…

I got one of the smoke faced dials off ebay.com! worked out £30 deliverd. you can get them now with a chrome face when the ignition is off and the didgets illuminate when you turn the key!!
