Title: Mazda side skirts - pics please
Post by: framey on July 03, 2006, 12:13:41 AM
Hi,
am thinking about fitting a set of original Mazda side skirts.
Has anyone a pic of these fitted?
I\'m ideally after a profile shot of the car more or less exactly side-on.
Some close up\'s would be great also.
I\'ve seen recent pics of Rixio\'s car, but need more side on shots to decide please.

Do these reduce the ground clearance any?

Thanks in advance.

And another one.  They dont really reduce groud clearance and have little cutouts for the standard jack.

I dont have that anymore, I took it off and sold it on here a little while back.  It\'s like the RE Amemiya light cover spoiler but sticks out a little further. Its made by a company called Esprit. http://www.esprit.to/product_info.php?products_id=52

A decent bodyshop should be able to do that.

That\'s just what I wanted - many thanks.

Hmmm I think I\'ll have to fit them then!!

Just got a quote from the spray shop - £515 (that\'s spraying new skirts and spoiler and fitting)
That seems a little steep to me, what you reckon?

That seems a bit much.  Another £500 and you could probarbly get the whole car done!  I could be wrong though, they are made of rubber so might need special preparation and paint.

I think I\'ll have to get some more quotes.
I got the whole car resprayed - including a rubber front lip which was bare rubber for about â,¬1400 when I was over in Ireland.
£515 seems to much.

Ok, thanks anyway.
