Title: rear indicator stopped working
Post by: richard cash on June 28, 2006, 10:47:01 AM
recently the rear drivers side indicator has stopped working. I have tested the lamp and its ok. It is a faster flas on this side too but the hazard flashes the same speed as usual.

What can i try next. I was going to just feed a wire from the front side repeater but my bro said that wouldnt work.

sometimes when one flashes quicker than another, its a bad earth.

the flashing is like when you take a bulb out: the other 2 flash more. Im not sure how the system works so dont know where to start with this. Where do the cables go from each light

I had the same problem, but with my front nearside indicator.
The fact that your hazards are working ok means, you have a good earth.
After I ordered a new CPU#2 I found it was the cabling where someone had been fiddling before.
I would check the cabling by sqeezing the cables or moving them around with the drivers side indicator selected. When you find the bit you\'re after the flasher may well go to normal speed.

Taking off the rear light is dead simple - just unscrew the screw(s) on top from inside the boot, and slide the unit outwards (sideways).

ill check the cables again but are you saying that you have a spare CPU2 as this wasnt the problem in your car?
