I know its probably a stupid question, but can a rotary be run on LPG?

Yep, Rotecniks have done some conversions.

Yup :)

I know of a TII running on LPG but no FDs.  I can see some benefits with potentially cooler fuel going into the system (liquid to gas causes a massive drop in temp).  Not sure if LPG is essentially a higher octane fuel but I think it does have less energy per gram so for a given amount of injection you don\'t get teh same oomph.

I\'d imagine placing the tanks safely would be tricky as they\'re bigger than a petrol tank and there\'s not much space in an FD...

I spoke to roteknicks and they say they think it can be done (not sure they have done one yet, though) but it\'ll be expensive, maybe ~£2.5k.

I wasn\'t clear about how it would interact with things like the apexi PFC and whether tuners would be able to work with it, etc...

Cheers, Paul.

Having had two jeeps running on LPG I just wonder where all the extra plumbing would go an an FD along with the extra tank.
