Hi there,
Now i have my decat pipe fitted, this brace which was under the car over the cat no longer fits because the decat pipe gets in the way. It wont even fit with lots of washers.

So, anyone know how important it is? Could i compensate by getting a diff brace?

I had the same issue, try turning it around until it does fit. It\'s all down to the way it\'s mounted.

I\'m pretty sure there is no way i can arrange it to fit - do you mean turning the brace around or the decat?

if you can\'t get it to fit, I\'ve got a good solution, sell it to me.:) found mine cracked so I need a new one.

Looks like we\'re struggling on this one Paul. I reckon I could get stainless one knocked up for pretty much next to nothing. Will have a word with my mate when I see him at the gym this evening. If he thinks it\'s possible I\'ll get him to do a couple.

Hey funky! That would be cool - i have a feeling that i have less clearance than you even, though!
eg. if i put one side\'s nuts in, the other side is about an inch off!

Hi Paul,
right my bastardised brace has been removed and sent away with my mate this evening. He\'s going to know one up for me tomorrow or wednesday. I\'ll let you know how it fits. If it\'s good I\'ll get some pics and if you think you need more space I\'ll get him to knock another up with more clearance.
Chuck him some beer tokens and he\'ll be happy. Will be stainless as well not a crappy cast like the standard item. More bling for the car even though nobody can see it we\'ll know they\'re there :)
Might get him to do a Diff brace as well whilst he\'s at it.

Yeah once he\'s done one it\'s easy to do another. Like I said chuck him some beer tokens and he\'d do it for sure. Did you mean the middle brace or a diff brace? I think I might have to look for plans for a diff as I haven\'t got one that he can copy.
Prototype he showed me today looked cool but he\'s more ideas so going to do a couple and see how they fit on mine.

Hi mate,
I did ask if it was strong the reply "as an ox!" When pressed on if as strong as the original cast item he said that it will be as strong if not stronger. Like I said that was a very quick prototype, he\'s got something else up his sleeve by the sounds of it to make sure it\'s super strong.
Will keep ya posted, hopefully have something sorted for the weekend.
