Title: FD stock 1/4 mile time???
Post by: fd3s_rx7 on October 31, 2003, 10:10:32 PM
Just wandering what the stock time for a 1993 RX7 twin turbo, Touring Package is. Not R1 or R2.

I was hoping it\'ll do high 13s or low 14s.

Well any ideas??  Thanks..

Yeah about right, a total stocker should do roughly low 14\'s...

Depends how far you put your foot down mate :)

Nah, seriously, slower than 14.5 and some things wrong I\'d say. The 99-> cars (280bhp) are mid-high 13\'s I think from recollection...

i took mine up the 1/4 mile at santa pod, my car is standard, apart from mazdaspeed rear box, i got 13.9 @ 101mph.

that was my second run, i lost the slip for my my 3ed run, i dont think i would be able to do much better than that anyways..

yeah low 14s is correct, mine is pretty standard apart from the exhaust and intake I got 14.0 at 101 with loads of wheelspin in the first two gears

seen a few do it in 13.8 > 13.9 > 14.01 etc

Should be on the 14 mark dead.  Also depends on tyre pressure, type of tyre, how you launch, engine condition etc.

Modded ones 280+bhp do it a lot quicker ;)
