Title: Power FC question
Post by: Fats on June 18, 2006, 11:19:43 AM
Just a quicky, since i\'ve had my FC fitted i\'ve noticed the exhaust temp light will flash when i boot it, but not all the the time. it has flashed when the engine was cold (naughty i know) and once when it was warm, i did notice that the inlet temps where in the 50\'s and knock reading around 55-60. would this be normal?

Cheers

Sounds like knock warning making the light flash.

its either:

a) The knock sensor is knackered

b) The engine needs a tune.

Intakes do sound too high to be safely booting it imo.

Does the light flash under cruise? If so, sounds like option a :)

it\'s not long been tuned at WGT, it only flash\'s when coming on full boost around 4-5 grand, just thinking it\'s giving a warning because of high inlet temps maybe?

No, the flashing will either be knock sensor level going over 60 or 100% injector duty.
