Title: Show us your guages
Post by: CraigN on June 12, 2006, 03:21:09 PM
I currently have in my FD 2x60mm gauges mounted in the a-pillar and 3x52mm ones on a 3 pod thing on centre of the dash. I dont like these.

I have 4 Defi BF gauges in 60mm from my last car that i want to fit into this + i want to buy a EGT defi BF so that will make 5 in total.

I also then need to keep one of the 52mm gauages as it is for my wideband lambda.

I was thinking 2 in the pillar and 3 on the dash then the 52mm on the steering wheel cowling.

Wondered how other ppl have fitted guages in there FD. Cant seem to find many pods round for them tho.

I put my gauges above the glove box. I thought i would be different and not use a pod until i saw loads of other rex\'s with the same thing  :rollin

I plumped for an SPA micro dash.  8 channels + speed + revs...also does full track mapping!

Get the car back next week, will shove a pic up as there are loads of switches :)  More than you can throw a sh*ty stick at!!!

Thanks Mark

I was pleased with the result but it took a lot of cutting to get them to fit into the air vent area so I never bothered making a copy as its not reversable.
Once I had started to cut I had to finish the job:)

So sorry not practical to make another one for anyone

Cheers

Eddie, do you have a defi link unit? If so where did you mount it?

Hi

These gauges are not defi, wish I could afford the defi units, these are cheap gauges, seeing as I had the commander I bought some cheaper defi look a likes.
I will add they are spot on, what the gauges tell me and what is shown on the commander is the same, so well please.

You should have room under the center speaker mounting point if you ditch the speaker.

Cheers

Are the 3 x 52mm in a pod which fits into the central speaker position? If it is and you are getting rid of it, I might be interested, feel free to PM me :)
