Its the K-spec kit. Wasnt very hard to fit, fronts were a bit of a pain, but fitting the rears took less than an hour. Are you thinking of doing it yourself?

cost for kit is about 580 i think

Hi Bobfish  :wave

Saw you in your 7 yesterday, was about 8.30ish and you were at the lights next to sainsbury\'s/Pizza Hut by the big roundabout with Shell, Sainsburys and Asda all near by. Looked twice as your motor looked very clean and fresh!

Think i met you once in shell garage, i had a white RX7 with 5 spoke polished rims - all now sold and driving a 3dr Fiat Stilo Diesel!!

Shame you sold your motor, i saw the ad actually. Why did you get rid of it? looked nice! My cars dirty atm..im ashamed of it! haha

I remember us meeting, your tall short hair yeah? with the blonde girl, is she sold too? hehe.

That was me, tall-shaved head bloke, Rx7 sold to pay off debts and kept girlfreind!

Had to sell the car as was getting the stilo as a company car so sold the RX7 to pay off some debts and now have bought a house so all is good. I intend to buy another RX7 one day.

Looks like you have done some nice styling on ur motor, i think last time i saw it, it was pretty much standard apart from intake and exhaust - good work!

Rides good on mine, i raised the front 10mm since the photo above due to scrubbing...The car was also understeering a bit after i raised the front, but the rear was then about 10mm lower than the front - so i added 10mm of preload on both rears and raised them 5mm on the platforms and now its sweet - if nose starts to push wide you can just turn in a touch and lift off slightly and it starts to bring the back end round!

Now just to replace my engine mount fix my sump leak replace my lower a arm bushing get a new aerial replace diff bushings clean bottom of car have the wing bumpers tailgate and mirrors resprayed relocate my battery fit my stillway intercooler and then i think ill be sweet, for now. :)

and i wonder where all my money goes! Right after i rebuild the engine spend 2 and a half grand on wheels and god knows what else!

Looks good mate. I saw those kits at silverstone at the weekend and they looked good quaility. Have they improved the ride a lot from standard? and would you recommend them or do you need a bit more time with them to work it out?

Do you know if these kits can be serviced in the UK and what the spring rate is?
Title: Coilovers fitted today, pics
Post by: Bobfish on June 28, 2006, 11:05:47 AM
dont know, and the spring rate is slightly lower than the tein\'s. I think its 6 front and 10 rear as opposed to 8 and 12 on the teins.

Quotefrom Apexi performance, Re K-spec
We ran them on special offer for the first two shows that we did, to get the brand noticed. These prices have now been dicontinued as we cannot run such a small margine forever, and did not want to de-value the brand. The price £695 you were quoted was including vat, and shipping would be £11.75.

So Bobfish. LRP. got a good deal there,:Thumbs-up
