Post by: Nick23 on June 11, 2006, 09:53:09 PM
Just bought a \'94 Type R, having it checked over by roteckniks on tuesday so fingers crossed everything will be okay....

It has height and damping adjustable coilovers (not sure what make, find out on tuesday), HKS twin filters, bov and a 5zigen exhaust.

How can i post some pics up ?

Nice choice in car colour matey :) Really does look sweet in silver, especially if you add a bit of bright colour to the calipers, like a red.

Fingers crossed it gets through its test alright, if you\'re on a stock ecu may be worth upgrading that considering your mods, will also give you a good foundation later on.. then skys the limit, as will be your credit card :)

Cheers, Jode.

Cheers !

Yeah i\'m considering an apexi Power FC, but I need to get the bushes done on the rear first.... Also the speedo doesnt work :( It\'s really sluggish moving and shows the wrong speed.....So that needs doing too...

That looks gorgeous.
With those lovely alloys and lowered ride height, it just shows a body-kit isn\'t always needed for the FD.
Look after it mate  :wave

Totally agree with above.  With stunning clean and straight bodywork you dont need a fancy bodykit.  Sits really nice on the coilovers.

Nice Example.  :wave

Those rims real do suit the car, are they 17\'s or 18\'s?

Thanks for the comments everyone !

The rims are 18\'s, 255 35 18 rear and 225 40 18 fronts.

The compression test results were good thankfully->

Front Rotor
6.9/6.9/6.7

Rear Rotor
7.5/7.6/7.5

The turbo trunk connnector needs replacing with a silicon hose and the n/s/r lower outer bush needs sorting, so nothing much.... It\'s booked in for a major service just for my peace of mind so i\'ll get them sorted then......

The cars not quite as clean as it looks in the pics, theres a few little scratch\'s and I think the front arches have been rolled and the paints cracked a bit on the edge :( Not really noticeable when cleaned and wax\'d though!

I think it\'s time to become a full member !

The mentioned niggles are light-weight.
Basically, you\'ve had a compression test..first port of call.
If you keep those wheels and ride height, a body kit may well hit the speed bumps etc.
I think it looks great externally........what you do with the engine is the next matter in hand.....ENJOY!! :Thumbs-up

Very nice car mate, wheels suit it a treat.

But how long will you leave it like that before you start to add bits lol

VERY nice! Looks like my wifes. Only mods needed IMO are clear indicators which will freshen up the look even more. Please do not put any plastic body bits on it. Makes a great car look cheap, IMO off course.
