Title: Help with Selling RX7
Post by: dmbarr on June 11, 2006, 04:57:11 PM
Sorry I know this is help with BUYING an RX7 but I need help with selling mine!  I am an enthusiast but have never mixed with a club or anything so don\'t know many peple who know much about the car - except that they like what it looks like but are put off by the sepcialist servicing requirement - I have not tried to sell it yet (hanging on but it HAS to go!!)

I need to sell my 1997 import as I have not been using it (bad I know) as I was pregnant (couldn\'t fit behind the wheel!) and now have a young baby
I have no idea what to ask for it!   I bought it after one 1000km Japanese owner imported by Warrender and always serviced by WGT in Northwich or Rotechnics in the South.   About 65000 on the clock.  It had a stainless exhaust put on by Rotechnics.  No mods, WGT turned off the "go faster" chip (whatever it was) Pip said it would prolong engine life and I didn\'t need/want it (it goes fast enough)  It has been really reliable except for some susceptibility to engine flooding (usually my fault) and driven "gently" (for a car of its type!  I am not a mad driver)  There are a few small dints in the body.  I\'d like it to go to someone who appreciates the beauty or the car and the way it drives but I obviously need to get a fair price for it and will spend some up front to get it serviced etc.  Any advice most appreciated.....

Actually reading a few posts here it looks like everyone considers this may need an engine rebuild due to mileage.  I had compression tests done and they were OK, need to get paperwork out I guess!
