Since i tend to get flamed for my opinions on this forum i am going to come forward here and offer some good tech info in video form. Some of you may have seen this vid before. There are lots of lessons to be leant by 90 % of the drag racers on this forum.
The times recorded by most people are generally influenced by 1 thing. ( and its not the car )
Glen recently started a thread about drag racing in order to try and get some knowledge flowing.
Drag racing is not about the person with the lead foot........... :Grrr
This vid goes into one of the first parts of racing.
My personal opinion ( here we go again ) is drag racing is not a solo sport. It does require a team of people you trust. These people can help relay info back to the driver about the strip the other cars and your own car.
Anyway enough of the public service speach from me.

There is stuff to be leant from this and maybe others will add to it
enjoy :Hammer

Just out of interest as you seem to know a lot about it and have obviously prooved you skill, where did you learn your knowledge?,
Ant. its not aimed at you lol
I learn in a similar way to the way you just have.
also my girlfriend bud drives a meth dragster in the mid 5 second range LOL. I also buy my meth from santa pod from th sponsor of that team. Above all lots of time trying differant stuff and reading lots and lots.
Its not just me. Its a team effort. We have all learnt together.

Good girl, thats what i like to see.
That explains the more than just the \'RWYB knowledge\' that i have aquired........ I assumed that there was a some technical knowledge somewhere along the line.. :3gears-lh
I have changed mine a little since RS3, the original soft shocks have been replaced for my RE - A Coilovers and the Nylon engine mounts (now for sale)have been swapped for some more subtle uprated rubber ones, all in preperation for the Ring in 2 weeks. Wont be as quick on the 1/4 now though, the engine mounts really made a difference with lightening quick gear changes, plus the front brakes now weigh a little more than before :driving
When you back to try and get in the 11\'s?? :Laugh
Ant. so far since RS3 i have only managed to up the boost to 16 psi from 14.5 and advance the timing by 7 deg LOL
Not decided yet but i will at some point. Was gonna do jap show but i dont think i will
