last nite all of a sudon the coolant level buzzzzzzzzzzer starts going so. checked coolant level thats ok the sensor externally seems ok as in its still pluged in ?! do the sensors often go down? and trying to drown the buzzzzz out is now starting to get on my nervs as much as the buz help
dunno - try unplugging it and connecting the wiring loom connector to the block of the engine with a wire. If the buzzer goes off, then the problem is with the sensor. But it\'s doubtful that they do fail: aren\'t they just a stick of metal?
not sure how they work ill try and earth it and see what happens
anybody know how they work and if you can test them?
Have you tried earthing it?
I still think it\'s just a metal rod, insulated from the rest of the block - when water touches it, a circuit is created, thus turning off the alarm.
The problem coukd be coming from the box that has the buzzer in - apparently they are prone to going wrong and getting on peoples nerves.
havent had time to inspect yet nic, but yes getting on my nerves under statement
fixed, break in the wire down by spark plugs? also fixed knock sensor fault break in wire , at same time managed to snap a nipple of the idle control solenoid!!! fitted new one then yesterrday started to runn very ruff managed to trace to a split spark plug lead so all in all a bad rx weekend!!!!
Quoteso all in all a bad rx weekend!!!!
Not at all. I don\'t think so: you managed to fix three things, as opposed to 3 things going wrong and not being able ti fix them.
