Title: Boost Controller Solenoid Location
Post by: cannibal on June 07, 2006, 01:14:13 PM
I\'ve bought a Blitz boost controller and was wondering where people have mounted the solenoid. Any photos appreciated.

Cheers :3Confused

I mounted mine in the upper left of the engine bay and used a few rubber grommets to level it out.

Think some others place it under the air filter cones.

Excuse the mess in this picture as I was patching it up. 1 is where mine is. 2 is another option, just behind the radiator fan on the same member where the oil catch tank is sat. I\'ll move mine here tomorrow to shorten the hosing.

Both options needed some holes putting in mind. Maybe this helps anyway..

Thanks Jode, that helps. I think I may put it in position 1 for now and when I get round to fitting my FMIC I can consider position 2.

Okay that\'s cool, just measure the hose first though and check your manual to make sure it\'s not greater than their suggested length. I can\'t off the top of my head remember what it is, but im sure in position 1 it was within the limits. The shorter the better though, provided it\'s not too close to the heat. Just off to drill more holes in my car too :)
