Took me about 4hours to do yesterday..
Mate of mine just bought a 92 Type R and it has 99 spec rears... And was slaggin coz i hadnt...
I got pi$$ed off so did 1 better :D:D:D
I think they came out well....
Will get a better pic with my camera when its dark...
Used my Rotor Oil cap as a template!!
:Thumbs-up Excellent!
Now that looks devilishley good !!!
kewl, do you have a full rear pic?
So did you have to take the light units to bits? I\'ve read before that you have to use a heat gun to do it. I stopped reading at that point as I know I\'d mess it up.
Cheers
G
WOW well cool, awesome job there our Kid :2eek
Just dont do what the Bish did, and forget that you put something in the oven and melt it. :D
Fish
THAT WAS ONCE, 5 YEARS AGO!! OK, so it might have been the dash, but that\'s not the point, and it wasn\'t my fault. *sulk*
lol that story gets better the more I hear it !!
@ dandan : Not yet man... Only took pics with the crappy camera phone... Will take better 1\'s with my big camera..
@GeckoGareth : Yea everybit had to be taken apart... Dead handy tho... Ur better off usin a heat gun but i used a hair dryer... Just to soften the silocone up and then prise them apart very gently... I used a screw driver and blade to cut the bits that werent that warm... But be careful them ur pulling them apart... They might snap... Mine did in 2 spots so i had to use even more silicone when closing them back up!!
And cheers lads :Thumbs-up
good job dude. im liking that :)
That looks really cool. Did you do the indicators, too?
that looks really good!! I was toying with the idea of later spec lights but i think ill do the oven routine....i did the same on my integra lights ages ago and it looked sweet!
They are the dogs bits. Well coooooooooooooool :mmmm
welldone that man - now watch everyone copy you!
@dj_dee99 : Yea done the indicators too but when i took a pic of them flashing they were too bright and it was just blurry..
@TURBOIINUTTAH : Yea but i had them first :p
Cheers lads..
Its usaly done to make old style rear lights look like 99 spec\'s (round)
NOW, If they spun around when the brake lights came on that would be the next ultimate rice city edition.
that looks cool!
i like it, i like it lot.
one2watch- what is the oven routine then?
Excellent job, more pics please.
Andy, was it just a matter of fixing templates to the inside of the lens and spraying with black paint?
CJ
D!WTF ....to split the casing of the rear lights offf, you go to first melt the glue....you do that by putting them in the oven! Well thats what I did with the headlights on the integra.....then you can paint the housings inside to what ever finish / coulour you want. Then just glue it all back togethher!
That looks cool ...
I didnt use spray paint lads...
I bought a black vynil sunstrip for a tenner and cut to fit...
Less messy!!
Not a nite pic but il get 1 of them at the weekend...
