i need to change my headlight bulbs but when i took off the plastic light surround on one side i found one of the screw heads that holds the light unit in place is completely rounded off :2eek . does anyone know how to get round (no pun intended) this without destroying the unit!? is drilling it through the only way?
The only thing I can think of apart from drilling out would be a spot of super glue on whats left of the head and gluing somthing to it so you can grip it with pliers... could be a very bad idea though coz you might end up glueing it in! (and it\'s very doubtful that it would work at all!!)
have you got a dremel of some sort? if so use the small cutting disk that they supply and try recutting a slot in it. only would need a small slot. once done give it a short sharp tap on the top of the head(to try break any seal taht has built up over the years) then once your ready apply alot of pressure down into the screw and try and tighten it a very small amount (again to break any seal) then slowly with pressure down into the screw untighten it
Gud luck
if you\'ve got space and a dremmel thingie try cutting in a new groove??
^^ Much better ideas than mine!! lol
