Title: What is the widest tyre you can fit on a standard 16" FD alloy?
Post by: M@r]{ on May 26, 2006, 11:13:04 AM
I’m not planning on using my 18’s for track days but I’m worried that I may not be able to fit wide enough tyres on the standard 16” ones. Any ideas?

The standard alloys are 16x8 with 225/50/16 tyres.  I think the max you can go on that width wheel is a 245 tyre.

yeah, sounds about right, when i had my 225s fitted they were hard to get to go on the rim (not wide enough) the guy said 235s would be better, so 245s shouldnt be any problem
