Hi i was wondering whether anyone can help?
I have a 92 tt, she\'s ported and had quite a few mods.
She starts up with a bit off fuss usually. The problem is i have just bought an apexi power fc and fitted it properly, but now my car fires up and cuts out straight away, the revs don\'t even get to 1k before she cuts out. Does anyone know the reason for this?

you tried putting old ecu back in to see if it runs, if so could be fc faulty
If you have a commander, it might be worth re-initalizing it and letting it re-learn itself.

Yea i have tried my old ecu and now it isn\'t working, The commander doesn\'t work properly, it just displays the apexi symbol. My old ecu did start my car when i took the fc out, but i tried the fc again yesterday and now it wil not start with my original ecu in.
If you are struggling to get anything sorted try getting the rx to a specialist who can do a once over as it could be anything, try to reset the ECU yourself and allow it to self learn as already said failing that get the car to a specialist who can do more detailed inspection to find the fault ;)

Only thing I\'ve managed to deduce is that there\'s no current at the plugs. Could be a number of reasons, but the commander showing only the Apexi symbol does shout "get your money out and replace my ECU"...
Let the race begin, my car will not even start at the moment so i\'ll sort that out first. The no current, may be why my car will not start. My car just floods at the moment. When she was running, she cut out at 0 psi and will not rev past 5k revs. Anyone no why this is?
She started today finally after missing rs3 and not being able to pick up various new parts, she still will not go past 5k and backfires at over 0psi. Is this limp home mode, i\'m rather sure it isn\'t an i\'ve been told by tdi in lakeside that its not, but if it is can i reset the standard ecu?

Hi ya matey, wondered why ya didn\'t call on sat. See the car didn\'t start, hope it\'s nothing bad. If the car is in limp home mode on the standard ECU then disconnect the negative terminal and hold down the brake pedal for 30sec and then reconnect the negative terminal on the battery. This should then reset the standard ecu, also i don\'t think the pfc has a limp home mode.
Hope this helps mate, ya can still try my commander out on your pfc if ya want.

You will need to be carful with the ported modded engine. The port timing will be differant to that programed in the base map apexi and stock ecu ( more retarded )
Get a rotary tuner to look at it before you damage it

Got mine going too now!!
Finally, after removing the Apexi, putting in the standard ECU, turning over, de-flooding, turning over, spluttered start, refit Apexi etc etc..
Anyway, seem to not have boost from first turbo now (which is ok presently as makes the remainder of my keeping off boost while running in the rebuild easier!!), but otherwise ticking over fine.
Shall have to get the turbos looked at when I book it in to be remapped following running in. Hopefully all is ok as can\'t see any disconnected/loose tubing etc.
I\'ve got her started now by resetting the standard ecu, cheers stu. I\'m so unlucky, she didn\'t start after my exam i had on that saturday which also went very bad. She\'s running now but i still have the problem with the power fc. Are you around tonight stuart? If so i\'ll come over and check your hand controller if you don\'t mind mate. I have no boost and about 5 bhp, its embarrasing, especially when everyone that drives past her expects her to blast away. I guess i just have to wait and be patient. She better be worth the wait.
We can give it a go if ya want matey, i\'ve got my car in bits at moment! LOL, have an idle problem of my own, so as long as it\'s done i\'l be about. If you still got my number then give me a bell and we\'re sort out a time.

I think i\'ve sorted the problem, i called re-worx today. they said i need to re-set the power fc on a datalogic, thats why the apexi logo is showing. cheers stu for all your help.
