Title: Old Skool group buy?
Post by: travellinbob on May 23, 2006, 09:31:02 AM
Hey guys just noticed last night the guy from Holland selling off 3 1200 coupes and it says that he would prefer to sell a sa job lot. Anyone interested in going in on a job lot buy. There are 3 cars and a stack of bits. LHD cars do make good drag cars too!
I wonder if anyone has the bits to convert one to a RHD?
anyhow. His for sale thread has recieved very little feed back do maybe people are put off by the distance. I kind of am  but as they say many hands make light work etc.
cheers all and look forward to meeting up and sharing a few brews at RSIII.
 cheers, michael.

Well the guy has posted up 3 photos of the good car complete with LHD genuine R100 dash, grill, lights, etc. I guess most of us on here have projects on the go huh? BUt just think how good one of these would look and sound with a heavily ported motor flying around the uk? its all gooood.
Anyhow, I am sure it will be discussed around a bbq and maybe folks could give me advice on importing a car from the mainland.
 cheers all. michael.

I saw this too. If only they were R1\'s! :InLove

Still nice cars and I\'d love to own one. What sort of prices are we looking at? Any ideas?

I\'m hoping to be @ RS on the Monday. If we\'re on for a group discussion I\'d like to be included. ;)

Cheers

Yep I think it will be a point of discussion over the weekend with a few beers and burgers. To be honest if it was mainland uk I would bust a gut to get one but the whole Holland issue has me a little freaked out. Maybe we could hire a big flatbed truck??
anyhow. If anyone has any good advice or an expression of interest then please just let us know.
 Cheers, michael.

Hayden why dont you try to camp on one of the nights so us old skoolers can almost outnumber the fd brigade?
