Spun it coming out of the Bobbies (chicane), slid across grass and hit a dip :(

On the plus side it was a great session. I went out with the ClubVR4 boys and started second from the front, behind a Pulsar. Overtook the Pulsar almost striaght away, then in just a couple of laps I had lapped the VR4\'s and overtook about 8 of them :D

Looks like Diarrhoea...bad.
But, superficial damage is the cheapest to repair...maybe get a less-deep front spoiler! :D
It\'s when you whack the wheel that can lead to significant geometric mis-alignment.
Always the instant feeling is bad, but once chewed upon we realise it could have been alot worse :3Confused

Ouch...best of luck getting her repaired quickly and economically. Could be a chance to get that new bumper you\'ve always wanted...if that applies!

Good to hear you were out there giving the car what for too, especially since you were doing so well.

Ow! Not nice! Although could\'ve been a lot worse. And at least you had fun, so it\'s not so bad, I guess.

Car looks very smart (apart from the obvious). Taking it full on round a track is always going to be risky. I remember seeing a Ferrari Daytona slugging it out lap after lap with an (authentic) AC Cobra in torrential rain at Silverstone. All the other cars in the race were just parading round cos conditions were truly atrocious but the guy was really pushing the Daytona - ended up aquaplaning and spinning it into a barrier, smashed the front end and the back end - made your eyes water thinking of the repair costs. Then someone told me he\'d bent the thing only a few month previously in a race!!!!
Get the car sorted and get it back on the track and next time STAY ON THE TRACK.... :)

Cheers guys. Yeah, it could have been so much worse. A fair few cars got pretty badly damaged yesterday, the greasy track was catching people out. Compared to some of them I got off VERY lightly.

ouch! Sorry to see that mate...

IS bobbies the first chicane after avon rise? or the one towards the end of the circuit (after the sharp right hander with virtually no run off)??

The second one. Missed the tyre wall by about a foot, and needed a change of pants as I slid towards the armco...

At least you had the balls to have a go out there !!

What front end are you going to replace that with then ??

Not sure yet, I love the shape and lines of this RE-A front end, but I could do with something that allows better airflow to the FMIC.

The thing is I\'ll need something that blends in with the standard bodywork nicely because I don\'t have a bodykit. This RE-A one looked just right, and flowed with teh standard lines really nicely.

Ouch! At least it\'s just the front bumper :)

Never noticed you out on the track, must\'ve been when I was wandering round the stands. Saw a red FD out there. Must admit FDs just look awesome out on the track!

Drexel- i have exactly the same front as you in black, and i\'m thinking of changing mine for something new-possibly a c-west.  if i do would you be interested in buying my RE-A?  you could therefore return your car to original condition with the minimum of fuss and you\'d have a spare set of indicators and lenses!

I think that says it best ...... bad luck, but sounds like you were showing your group how to give it some.

I have driven CC a couple of times ..... sticky moments for me seemed to be that first big right hander in the corner after the first section. It doesn\'t look that tight when you go in to it but easy to run out of track on the way out of the corner.

It\'s just a front, but even if I managed to find one in the next few days, I\'m too skint to buy it at the moment :(

OK, Invisible bumper repair, ghetto style.

Step one, drill holes and apply zip-ties:

Then add copious amounts of duck tape:

And there you have it, you can\'t tell it\'s been repaired. Damn I\'m good ;)

I\'d be tempted to paste resin and glass all over the back of that to give it some wind resistance and leave it like that all season!

If you have all the bits why don\'t you just buy a fibreglass kit and fix the bumper?

It\'s an option I suppose, but having never done any fibreglassing before I would probably make a complete pigs ear of it, plus the cost of getting it sprayed. It\'s pretty badly damaged, aswell as the piece that got ripped off there are loads of cracks all over it.

Getting it repaired is an option I am considering though.
