Title: I can\'t believe I\'m saying this...
Post by: Archbish on May 20, 2006, 08:32:17 PM
...but thanks so much to the ReWorx guys for taking my luxury box out and replacing it with a plethora of pedals, and some stick thing that seems to need a lot of stirring... *sigh*

I dropped it off a few weeks ago hoping to get it sorted for June, and subtely hinted (in my delicate style) that it would be nice to have it for RS3...  TODAY I PICKED UP MY CAR!!!  Gotta say, it\'s a totally different driving experience - even the sound when the key turns is different.  Wierd...

Oh.  And that\'s what happens when you drop a clutch (whatever that is) at 5k...

Did you stall it much?

Did you manage to operate those three pedals and turn the steering wheel with those gangly legs of yours? ;)

Love and Hugs xxx

Yet to stall - there was NO WAY I was going to stall that leaving the place...  got a bit bogged down a couple of times, but the car feels so different now...  a lot more aggressive.

I\'ll be doing a fair bit of shoeless driving in the future, methinks.. *grin*

NinjaSX - yup, twas I!!  Good to meet you dude!  It\'s wierd trying to put names with faces, and THEN trying to remember them...

Yup - that stick stirring does seem like a lot of work tho...  You guys sure it\'s the way forward??

Pedals were OK, but had to use my hands on the steering wheel...  :Laugh

Got to ask (if you don\'t mind), how much did it all set you back?

Thinking about going the same way.

Thanks

I couldn\'t give you the breakdown, and the guys did a few extra bits, so the best thing to do is contact them, and see what they say!!  My gearbox is second hand, so that changes thing, and I\'ve got an extreme clutch, which also changes the price, so it depends what you want...

Never beeps at all mate!!

A little while ago I thought my CPU 2 went south so I got another one from Jimmy\'s.

Put it in and when I turned the key it started buzzing straight away. It didn\'t fix the problem, so took it out again. The problem was a wiring one. That was an expensive mistake.

Auto is fine with me, spent 2004/5 in and around Dublin and the traffic jams are terrible. Much easier in an auto.
