You\'d need a whole new kit, unless you wanted to modify you existing intercooler but i waouldn\'t do that. sell the one you have and put the mony towards a proper v-mount..... Knight sports one is very good Brian uses it and has had great results.... have you thought about a charge cooler??? shorter pipe runs = less lag.

If you look on the RE:Worx web site you can see the cost.

Contrary to other views, it is ultimately cost effective because all the bits are in the box and Geff\'s workshop can fit it all in one day.

You will need a smaller battery though.

It works fine with an unvented bonnet but if you drive in London, like me, then I would suggest a vented bonnet for traffic usage.

i have noticed that? makes you wonder doesn\'t it.... Ok RE:WORX have one on their drag car but that only needs cooling for a 1/4 of a mile so thats not an accurate example for a road car (although it does show that they keep silly power cars cool). There are a few guys using them on the road. I think someone said in the past to use a v-mount for a track car and a charge cooler or the road. Beacuse a v-mount, as does a front mount, relies on coold air being pushed through it.

The thing is with a charger cooler is that the air temps will never be colder than the temp of the water jacket around the pipe.

Having said that i have a 3 row Trust FM and a low temp thermostat and i have never seen silly high temps even in the summer.

mmmmm what to do? I think i\'d go charge cooler.

i willlet u know i am about to swop from fmic to pwr chargecooler..thing is the fmic on rx7 are so much bigger and thicker than on say evos or scoobs and as such do block a massive amount of air..the idea with charge cooler is that for short blasys thay will win hands down as shorter pipe run and comparable cooling but sustained track use fmic will be better..but mines for all road so want faster response

Driving to the mot centre today, I was seeing air temps of 23-24 and water temps of a steady 80. This was being driven at a nice 70 ish mph. V-mount rock.

Did you jump from a stock IC to the V-Mount? I\'m just intrested what the Turbo responce is like? It just looks a big IC for the stock twins.

I\'m just thinking of buying one myself but i\'m also on Twins at the moment but may be going single in a year, So i want to make sure if i get the larger one it will drive ok with the Twins?

Keith, yes just needs a remap and a cover note with the correct registration and I\'m there.

Grizzly, yeap stock > v-mount. custom made to my specification by a company that makes stuff for the motorsport trade.

Until I get a remap I\'m not pushing it, so will have to wait and see.

I know that Rotary Extreme do 2 different sizes for their v-mount kit, and that will make a difference. Too big a core and loads of lag.

If you\'re going single later this year, then save up and do them together.
